Overview

Windsight brings together analytics from visualization platforms including Superset, Google Looker Studio, and Tableau. It supports regional data analysis through city, regency, and provincial dashboards.

I led frontend stack direction and implementation decisions, building on lessons from Robota.

My deliverable was the reusable frontend template, designed to support multiple government analytics systems after the foundation was completed. I do not claim ownership of every downstream implementation. The deployment URL may have changed since my work with DataIns, so no current live demo is linked here.

Problem & constraints

Regional analytics involves multiple dashboard providers and data presentation workflows. The application needed a coherent frontend for those different sources without pushing every data-fetching concern into the browser.

Engineering decisions

Windsight uses Next.js App Router with an emphasis on React Server Components. The aim was to move most data fetching to the server so dashboard pages remained more stable and predictable.

My frontend work focused on regional analytics presentation, integration with multiple dashboard providers, and dashboard-oriented application UI.

Outcome

Windsight helped formalize a server-first frontend direction for analytics-heavy products. It provided a practical setting for applying Next.js architecture choices to data presentation.
