Overview
vkit-orbit is my fullstack starter for building applications with document workflows, background processing, and realtime updates. It is presented as an engineering foundation, not as a customer-facing production product.
Engineering decisions
The repository separates API-facing application logic, database access, queue contracts, scheduling, workers, and realtime delivery. A scheduler enqueues work; workers execute background handlers. This keeps process responsibilities explicit rather than mixing long-running jobs into request handling.
The stack includes TypeScript, Bun, Prisma, BullMQ, and Socket.IO. Its public source provides the implementation and setup instructions for inspection.
