KurirGo
Engineering a shipping aggregator, from provider integrations to team delivery.
- Role
- Technical Lead
Overview
KurirGo is a shipping aggregator for sellers and general users who need to send packages through multiple expedition providers from one application. I served as technical lead, owning engineering direction and delivery coordination.
Product scale
At its peak, KurirGo handled approximately 500 shipments a day, reached around 10,000 users, and processed hundreds of millions of rupiah in monthly transaction value. These historical figures describe the product's scale during that period; transaction value is distinct from company revenue.
This case study documents my contribution during development and operation. The service is no longer operating.
Problem & constraints
Users need shipping options, pricing, order creation, and tracking without managing each provider separately. The system also needs to support the admin and operator workflows behind those shipments.
Engineering decisions
The platform uses Go for backend services and Next.js for the web application. My work focused on service boundaries, provider integration contracts, pricing flows, and order state. Those boundaries needed to remain understandable to the team as integrations and operational workflows expanded.
My responsibilities included:
- Expedition provider integration and shipping rate calculation.
- Order lifecycle management and package tracking workflows.
- Admin and operator workflows.
- Release ownership, code review, and engineering standards.
Outcome
KurirGo brought together product architecture, provider integration, operational workflows, and team delivery. It represents the end-to-end engineering ownership I took on as technical lead.
